Standing Out

Fitting in does not mean you belong.
Standing out does not mean you are desolate.

Don’t be afraid to Stand out.
We are born unique, but spend the first couple of decades of our life, learning to confirm. Learn – it is important. But – Learn critical life skills. Learn what helps you to stand out. Learn to differentiate what is being shoved down your throat by so-called society.

Don’t be afraid to Stand out. Don’t lose the uniqueness that is You.

Life Happens …

Life is what happens, when you are busy making other plans.
Sometimes those wonderfully insignificant moments are all that you need :)

Sunset by the Tulip Fields

Wanna enjoy some sunshine
Wanna feel some happiness
Wanna feel vibrant
– Head out to the Tulip fields :)

Out in the west we have Skagit Tulip farms or the well known Woodenshoe Tulip farms (where this was shot). Out in the east the prominent one is at Holland, Michigan. If you love tulips then these places are worth a visit. You have to plan ahead if you want to see the fields in bloom, the tulip season is short, late March to early May. If you have never experienced acres and acres of blooming tulips in every color you can imagine, you should at least go once. It is spectacular !

This beautiful Tulip fields is just an hour drive from Portland, but has quiet a view. You could just take a stroll, smell some tulips, run around or just sit and enjoy a sunset.  Wanna know more about this lovely place and read more – Click here.

Tulips at bloom

After some gloomy weather (both inside and out), I needed something fresh. This is from a crisp, clean, spring morning at Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm. There is nothing like seeing acres and acres of beautiful tulips and daffodils in full bloom. I got a chance to visit the place just once last spring and was amazed at the colors & variations. It definitely is photographer’s heaven for sure :) When ur spending time shooting the lovely tulips, there are other things to have your family / kids engaged like bouncy house, rock climbing wall, a swing ride, a zip line for adults, vendor’s booths to shop at, and a small taste of Fair food.

This is also part of my 2013 calendar depicting spring. If you are still looking for one, you can grab it here. What comes to your mind when you think of spring !!!?

Sunset at Tulip Fields

Cool breeze, Rows and rows of colorful tulips, Lovely clouds, The setting sun dotting the horizon – what else could I ask for (just make sure not to delete the shots by mistake later – like I did. Luckily I was able to retrieve them). It was a lovely evening at Woodenshoe Tulip Farm. With rock climbing / small bungee jumping activities for the kids, pony rides, steam tractors, gift center etc. it is a fun place to spend with family during the bloom season. And while you are there definitely plan to stick around around for sunrise/sunset or better both ;-)
